Who am I? I'm a small town girl that went to the big city to get a background spanning design, social media, influencer marketing and more. I've worked in small, fast-moving tech startups, to robust enterprise software companies, to World Series Champions, The San Francisco Giants. I've recently returned to my roots in Truckee, CA to help my community grow thriving businesses as part of the team at East River PR. I have a dog, and an unquenchable thirst for reality television.
With a degree in Graphic Communications and 8 years of experience, I know design is more than 'looks good'. It is problem solving, story telling and impact making. My approach as a designer has been collaborative critical thinker. Every design project, big or small, has a purpose beyond aesthetics and my role is to engineer the creative process for maximum effectiveness: anticipating variables, communicating effectively, and sometimes simply trusting my gut.
Content is more than a strategy. It is the voice of your brand. No matter what you're in the business of, it's a process to create understanding and brand loyalty. Thoughtful content brings brands to life, telling stories that build a connection that last long beyond the transaction. Whether it's on social, web, blog or email, every touchpoint of content builds a human embodiment of your brand. For me, shaping that content is a form of method acting - learning, living and breathing life into every word.
People influence people. Much like word-of-mouth among friends, trust comes rapport. Finding storytellers is about connecting with like-minded individuals, ready to share the journey together. Buzzword it may be, influencer marketing represents a shift in our culture. With all the technology and information at our fingertips, consumers long more than ever to connect with people authentically. But finding the right influencers is about building genuine relationships with them and their audience.
